As a first-generation American hailing from Nigeria, Dipo Olatunji has overcome various challenges in order to achieve the "American Dream". He grew up in Lagos and came to the United States to further his education. He then worked as a Mechanical Engineer for over a decade in some of the largest public utility companies, including SoCalGas. While working in the utility industry, he noticed that there were many gaps and challenges that could be solved with optimized processes and solutions.

OVER J IS BORN
Thus in 2014, he decided to venture out and establish his own company, Over J Consulting. The 'Over J' name was derived from when he was in middle school and he was seen as always trying to overachieve or as they call it 'Over Jordan', based on the famous professional basketball player, Michael Jordan. 'Over J' was a term that stuck with Dipo and he decided to name his company after that, to symbolize always going above and beyond and doing what others deem impossible.
In other words, engineering greater possibilities.

With Dipo Olatunji's intrinsic knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by his clients, as well as a strong team by his side, he was able to create bespoke solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client. As a Black CEO, Dipo Olatunji still faces challenges based on race, equality, equity, and equal opportunity. However, through the adversity he's faced, he's developed a strong, persevering spirit and is confident that Over J Consulting will prosper because of it. Furthermore, Dipo is committed to supporting emerging leaders and other minority CEOs who may struggle with similar challenges. Dipo strives for greatness and believes his work is his face and that is reflected in the work Over J has been able to accomplish thus far.
